Carol's Nut List is in the history books. It is the end of an era of nuts and candy in Kimball. Owner JoAnn Mueller made her last sales of nuts and candies on the 21st and 22nd of November. On those final days, the store was busy with Christmas shoppers and, of course, cashew shoppers. Cindy passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family. Cremation has been held and at Cindy's request, no services will be held. You winter sports fans better be ready because it gets rolling this coming week starting with some basketball play at Dalton on Monday, Dec. 2, with the Kimball High girls and boys on the road for a Jamboree game. The 2019 Nebraska Firearm Deer Season came to an end this past weekend and a total of 247 deer were checked in a Sportsman’s Liquor, the local check-in station in Kimball. As reported last week after the opening weekend of 134 checked in, another 113 hunters filled their licenses as reported by midmorning on this past Monday and hunters had until noon Monday to check in their animals.
