  • Several Charges, 2 Arrests In Kimball Drug Bust

    Kimball police officers and a Kimball County sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop Sept. 7 on a vehicle in the 300 block of South Chestnut Street for failing to utilize its turn signal. After officers made contact with the driver, they said they requested and received consent to search the vehicle. A pat search of the driver revealed an item of drug paraphernalia on their person.     A couple of Potter area athletes, Halsey Clark and Kailey Nicklas, represented themselves well at the recent Mike Trader's Mid-America Basketball Camp at Morrill High School. Clark was named Most Valuable Camper and an all-star in the Girls Major League. Amy Sapp, economic director of the city of Kimball, said the Poker Run through the Panhandle had 18 motorcycles and 2 classic cars show up.
