George The Cat Attacks St. Paddy Gnome

Banner County

Good morning! Typical spring weather here in western Nebraska. Nice and pleasant, windy, with rain and snow!

This week and weekend many people will be celebrating St. Paddy’s Day; here is to you and your fun and safety if you are one of them.

I have a little green St. Paddy gnome that my cat George has gotten a hold of several times this past month. His little four leaf clover and buckle have been glued on more than once. Darn cat.

The schoolhouse has very little going on compared to how their weeks usually go. Tomorrow, March 15th, there will be no school and Sunday the students participating in the Close Up program will be heading to Denver International Airport for their trip to DC and NYC. They will return the following Sunday.

This is such an educational trip and I would encourage all students to go when they have the opportunity. I know from personal experience that it is well worth it. Safe travel to you all.

On the 19th, the Quiz Bowl students will compete at Creek Valley. Good luck and be safe!
