    Daria Andersen-Faden|May 9, 2019

The afternoon of February 7, 2019 will replay in Sandy and Randy Harmon’s mind forever. That is the day they lost everything in a house fire, but today they are thankful and feeling blessed. Sandy’s philosophy is: “First of all, material things don’t matter as long as your loved ones are safe and you are together.” They are settled in their new “home” although it is not the home they knew, they are making it into their home. Sandy heaped praise on the community for their support and contributions. She said, “We have a great and fantastic suppo...

    Daria Andersen-Faden|May 9, 2019

The underpass is showing signs of new life. Previously, the contractor had worked on the storm sewer and the pipe on both sides of the underpass on the east side of the roadway. The workers had poured the curb, corner pilasters, and the handrail end. This week, the contractor installed the V-ditch on the northeast and southeast corners of the project. The contractor is cautious when the weather is slick so therefore there were no lane closures on Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic will continue to...

    Tom Southard|May 9, 2019

More exciting happenings this past week involving Kimball High sports. The annual Booster Club Banquet and Awards Night was held and was a huge success thanks to the officers in charge. I was so impressed with the young people involved with the way they conduct themselves and how polished they are when asked to stand up front and talk. I remember my own days when I had to get up front and how hard it was to even get words out of my mouth. You young people impress me. ----------------------------------------- I was also impressed with...
