Underpass Project Starts To Take Shape

Crews work long hours on the Kimball underpass project. The project's estimated completion date is still set for September.

The underpass is showing signs of new life.

Previously, the contractor had worked on the storm sewer and the pipe on both sides of the underpass on the east side of the roadway. The workers had poured the curb, corner pilasters, and the handrail end.

This week, the contractor installed the V-ditch on the northeast and southeast corners of the project.

The contractor is cautious when the weather is slick so therefore there were no lane closures on Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic will continue to be controlled with a single lane open controlled by flaggers during the day and open in both di...
