Lots Of Fair To Go Till Monday
The 2019 Kimball-Banner County Fair got off to a fast-paced start Monday with the Fashion Revue and Clothing Judging at Kimball High School.
The 4-Hers entered a wide range of items that they had sewn or decorated – from tie-dye T-shirts to elaborate quilts.
Each individual talked with a judge, explained the construction of their item and discussed any problems they encountered with their project.
Clover Kid Audrey Ferguson, age 5, was one of them. She explained her tie-dye T-shirt project.
"I twisted it up, then bundled it, put bands on it, sprayed it, washed it, unbundled it and put it on a hanger," Aubrey said.
Ember White, age 5-1/2, also explained her project, but she made sure everyone was aware that she was "a little older than Audrey."
Ember said that she "got a blue shirt, sprayed it, washed it with water, let it dry."
The fair carries on with a full schedule of events through Monday, Aug. 12, at the fairgrounds in Kimball.
