Kimball Deadeye Shooters Zero In To Place 44th in USA

Julia Winstrom of Kimball lines up a shot this month on her standing position target at the Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match in Rogers, Ark. Julia placed second overall in the standing position with a score of 96 and six centers.

Kimball Deadeye shooters placed 44th in the nation out of the 64 teams in competition at the Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match in Rogers, Ark.

Once again, the team was made up of Julia Winstrom, Nolan Cook, Jessica Terrill, Chris Foster and Cody Brinkman.

"Our team needs to work more on our test scores and get them up, but overall I think the kids did great and we had a lot of fun," Deadeyes coach Nicole Snyder said.

In the standing position, Julia Winstrom scored a 96, shooting six centers, to take home second place. Winstrom scored a 97 with five centers in the prone position, 95 and three centers in sitting, 96 and three centers in kneeling, and a test score of 78 putting her in 107th place overall out of 427 shooters with a total score of 462 and 18 centers.

Cook shot a 99 and seven centers in prone to tie him for 11th place, just shy of a medal, 87 and four centers in standing, 92 and one center in sitting, a 95 and two centers in kneeling, and a test score of 84 for a total of 457 points with 14 centers placing 139 over all.

Terrill scored 94 and three centers in prone 88 and one center in standing, 87 and one center in sitting, 90 and one center in kneeling, and a test score of 88 for her total score of 447 and six centers.

Foster scored a 90 and one center in prone, 86 in standing, 76 and one center in sitting, 90 and one center in standing, and a test score of 88 for a total score of 430 and three centers.

Brinkman scored 81 and two centers in prone, 66 and two centers in standing 83 and two centers in sitting, a 83 in kneeling, and a test score of 88 for a total of 401 and six centers.
