Lady Coyotes hold off the Storm in a 3-1 win

Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes rolled on to one more W this past Friday in their Homecoming match with Creek Valley taking them to 7-7 this season.

In the four set match the Lady Coyotes came strong and took the lead but let the Storm get going to come back and take the first set win 25-22.

The second set was again back and forth with Potter-Dix coming out on top 23-25.

In the third it was again Potter-Dix who was able to stay up on Creek Valley long enough to get another set win taking this one 17-25 and again 17-25 in the fourth set to win the match three games to one.

"The girls competed very well against Creek Valley on Friday night. I think they had a little extra energy for Homecoming. We had several people step up at times during the match. Kelsey Hoffman, CC George, Hannah Stahl and Erica Bogert were forces at the net. Makayla Williamson and Brooke Moench each had many assists. Our team has been working on staying focused during the matches, and that was much improved Friday. We still need to focus on starting quicker and finishing sets," said coach Michelman.

Potter-Dix played a triangular tournament in Bayard on Tuesday Oct. 2, to match-up with Bayard and Kimball, no information was available at time of press.

The Lady Coyotes will then head to Iliff, Colo., to take on Caliche today, Oct. 4, and then make the trip to Big Springs for a match with South Platte, tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 4.
