Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
For the tenth consecutive year The Kimball Board of Education has earned the NASB (Nebraska Association of School Board) President's Board Award, given to boards that demonstrate a commitment to education and in light of board member's collective volunteer time.
To receive this award, each board member must attain a minimum of Level 1 and must attend a minimum of three learning opportunities.
These include the NASB Legislative Issues Conference, NASB School Law Seminar, NASB/NASA Labor Relations Conference, NASB/NASA State Education Conference, NASB Area Membership Meeting or the NASB/NASA Education Forum.
Each board member must also participate in at least one local leadership team planning retreat annually and a copy of the goals developed at that retreat must be submitted to NASB.
The board must accumulate 1,000 points with a minimum of 350 of those points earned by board members serving during the current board development year.
Additionally, a voting delegate must participate in the annual NASB Delegate Assembly.
According to the NASB, in addition to earning the President's Board Award, the following received recognition for advancing to a new level of achievement for the last
year:
