Lady Coyotes continue to roll

Potter-Dix posted six wins in its last six matches last week and Monday to improve to 18-2 on the season. The Lady Coyotes swept triangulars at Bayard, Paxton and Garden County.

The Lady Coyotes opened the week in Bayard with a 25-11 and 25-16 win against the home team. Alexus Rozelle led the team offensively with four kills and five blocks, in addition to one ace. Anna McLaughlin had a team-high five kills in the win, while Dawson Sharman added four. Regyn Hicks was the top defender with 11 digs, while Lanie Thies had a team-high 15 assists.

Potter-Dix completed the triangular with a 25-23, 16-25 and 25-16 win against Kimball. Hicks led the team offensively with 10 kills, while Rozelle chipped in with nine. McLaughlin added seven kills, while Sharman had six and Audrey Juelfs pitched in with five. Juelfs also led the team with four aces.

Last Thursday, the Lady Coyotes rolled to a 25-14 and 25-14 win against Stapleton at the Paxton triangular. Sharman led the way with eight kills, while Rozelle added six. McLaughlin and Hicks chipped in with four kills each.

Thies led Potter-Dix at the serving line with three aces and also had 20 assists on the night. Hicks had a team-high 18 digs, followed by Savannah Shaw with 14 and Rozelle with 12.

Potter-Dix rounded out the night with a 25-15 and 25-19 victory over homesteading Paxton. Rozelle had 13 kills to lead the Lady Coyotes offensively. McLaughlin added seven kills, while Hicks had five and Sharman added four. Sharman also led the team with three aces and two blocks. Defensively, Rozelle had 13 digs to lead the team. Thies led the way with 25 assists.

On Monday, Potter-Dix topped host Garden County 25-15 and 25-9 to open a triangular. Rozelle led the team with seven kills, while McLaughlin had five and Hicks added four. Hicks had a team-high seven digs, while Thies led the way with 13 assists.

The Lady Coyotes topped Wallace 25-13 and 25-17 to wrap up play in the Garden County triangular. Rozelle had a team-high seven kills, while McLaughlin and Hicks added five each. Thies led the way with 11 digs, while Hicks added 10. Thies also had a team-high 15 assists.
