Lady Coyotes split pair of matches in Paxton tourney

Lanie Thies serves during the Potter-Dix tournament over the weekend. Earlier in the week, the Lady Coyotes split a pair of matches in the Paxton tournament.

The Potter-Dix volleyball team split a pair of matches last Tuesday in the Paxton Invitational.

The Lady Coyotes (9-2) opened play with a 25-10, 17-25 and 25-16 win over Wauneta-Palisade.

Alexus Rozelle led the team offensively with nine kills, and also chipped in with a team-high 19 defensive digs. Dawson Sharman led the team with four aces, while Lanie Thies had a team-high 24 assists and two blocks.

The Lady Coyotes dropped just their second match of the season in the championship tilt as they felt to homesteading Paxton, 24-26, 25-19 and 25-20.
