Coyote 4x800 relay team breaks school record

The Potter-Dix boys 4x800 meter relay team broke the school record at the Best of the West meet held last Tuesday in Scottsbluff. Pictured, from left, are: Jake Johnson, Samuel Bogert, Cameron Purcell and Cooper Hicks.

The Potter-Dix boys 4x800 meter relay team had a record-breaking performance at last Tuesday's Best of the West meet in Scottsbluff.

The Coyote team of Jake Johnson, Samuel Bogert, Cameron Purcell and Cooper Hicks broke the school record in the event with a time of 8:27.96. They beat the old school record by close to five seconds. Although Potter-Dix set a new school record in the event, Sidney won with a time of 8:26.15. It was the first time this season that the Coyotes have not won the 4x800 meter relay.
