Millers Lead Horns In Kimball XC Invite

The Kimball Invitational Cross County meet had teams from across the region, including the Panhandle and Wyoming.

The meet was held on a beautiful day, Friday, Sept. 8, at the Four Winds Golf Course.

Shannen Acheson was the lone Kimball participant in the girls 5 K. She placed 21st with a time of 27:16.24 and scored 16 points.

On the boys side, the team placed 5th with 39 points. Braxton Miller placed 9th, running the 5K course in 20:17.49 minutes. In hot pursuit was his brother Braylon Miller, the senior who finished in 12th place with a time of 20:50.45.

Freshman Trey Cook figured out he could compete at the high school level. He took in 19th place in 22:19.70.

Sophomore Eddie Duran took 24th in 22:44.16, followed by Conrad Kaminski in 23:11.73. Peter Russell and Wyatt Cords hung together to finish 40th and 41th. Wyatt Cook, Kip Gillming and Patrick Howard finished in 48th, 52nd and 57th, respectively.

In the junior high girls division, MacKenzie Miller placed 12th, Emmaline Tabor was 23rd, and Marissa Gardner was 38th.

For the junior high boys, Connor Markum finished in 24th place, Logan Paxton was 32nd and Reece Kaminski placed 38th.
