Larry John Brower

Larry John Brower, 82, of Rogers, Arkansas, and former longtime resident of Kimball, Nebraska, sadly passed away on January 22,2024. Cremation will be held with memorial service planned in Kimball, NE this coming Spring. He was born on January 27, 1941, in Arnold, Nebraska to Gerrit and Miriam Brower.

Larry lived to serve his community and family. He was a Nebraska State Patrolman for 27 years, a Kimball County Commissioner for 20 years, ran a local Kimball, NE repair shop for over 40 years, and served various roles in the Church of the Nazarene. One of his later accomplishments was helping people and businesses in the Nebraska panhandle save money through Choice Gas Selection and earning the nickname through the local paper "The Gas Buster." Of course, we must add that he was a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan until the end, displaying his support in Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Miriam, and siblings, Ruth, Dorothy, Melvin, and Gerald.

Larry is survived by his wife, Linda of 60 years, daughter, Johnna (Darrel) and sons Brad (Annette) and Kurt (Dani), sisters, Muriel and Janette, grandchildren, Christy and Jaida, Trevor, Brittany, Devin, MacKenzie and Corey, Chesney, Bailie, Hadley and Noley, great grandchildren, AJ, Andrew, and Aaron, Brantley, Kiegan, and Athena, Amira, Levi, and Agness.
