Banner County officials are accepting applications to serve the remainder of the term of Commissioner Robert Gifford, who announced his resignation.

A decision on the appointment is expected by Dec. 15. The appointee will serve the remainder of Gifford’s term that expires Jan. 5, 2025.

Letters of application should be submitted to Banner County Clerk Katie West, 206 State St., Harrisburg, NE 69345, by noon Dec. 1. Applicants should provide a letter of application, resume, and the address of their residence.
