Childs Gets 30 Days In Jail

Kenneth Childs began a 30-day jail sentence Aug. 30 on a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest Jan. 19.

Two other charges were dropped: criminal mischief and failure to appear or comply with citation.

In a bench trial, Judge Randin Roland heard from two witnesses, Kimball County Sheriff David Hottell for the plaintiff and Kenneth Childs for the defense. The guilty charge included a 30-day sentence and a $50 fine. Childs was in custody on an unrelated charge.
