Daum Finishes Well In NBA Shot

Mike Daum finished the NBA Summer League playing well enough to stay in the conversation for making a regular season NBA roster with the Sacramento Kings, his summer team, or another franchise that liked what it saw in the Dauminator.

On July 11, Daum scored 22 points for the Kings against the Chicago Bulls. He scored on 5 of 9 three-point shots and brought in seven rebounds.

On July 13 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, he had 8 points, but shot under 20 percent, and 4 rebounds.

On July 15 against the Milwaukee Bucks, he scored 14 points and collected 7 rebounds. He shot 5 of 1l from the floor, 2 for 7 behind the arc.

That concluded the Summer League for Sacramento and Daum. He came off the bench much of the summer, but surely gained some attention as a 6-9 power forward or center who can shoot well behind the arc and confuse some defenders with that versatility.

The sure thing is that Daum is signed to return to the Derthona Basket team in Italy, where the Kimball and SDSU Jackrabbits legend averaged in double digits scoring and nearly 6 rebounds a game the last two seasons.
