Under the watchful eye of the safety officer Brad Brothers, Lane Cook, 13 shot the top score at the state trap meet in Kimball. Lane hit 84 out of 100 shots. Lane will not be attending Nationals because the meet rapidly filled up. Lane is registered as an alternate as well as Kambree Hottell.

Kimball qualified 20 individuals for National Trap on July 7 and 8 in Mason, Michigan. But with the national popularity of the sport only one team and five individuals from Kimball were able to get registered.

The following individuals will participate at Nationals: Nolan Cook, Cameron McGinnis, Justin Klosterman and Cainin Sours.

The Kimball National team is composed of the four individuals and James McGinnis.

According to Brittany Cook the national slots are filled by season average of 15+ to qualify and the spots filled in under three days.

Out of 31 individuals shooting, eleven individuals shot 70 or above out of 100: Grace Anderson, David Bond, Nolan Cook, Lane Cook, Travis Fryda, Taeuge Massa, Cameron McGinnis, James McGinnis, Jarrett Schutz, Cainin Sours, and Tig Woolington.
