Special Election: Time To Vote Nearly Here

Voters in the City of Kimball have a special election approaching Tuesday, June 13. Voters have two issues to consider.

LB840 has been in effect for the past 15 years as a method of economic development for businesses or start-ups in Kimball. A vote for LB840 will continue a ½ cent tax for economic growth.

The second issue on the ballot is a ½ cent sales tax for infrastructure projects. This sales tax would be in effect for 10 years. Infrastructure refers to roads, streets, sidewalks, wastewater and water systems, transmission lines, swimming pool, airports and other city services.

The polls will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Sagebrush Event Center is the place to vote.
