Longhorns senior James McGinnis, above, placed fourth in pole vault at the SPVA meet, and freshman Trevor Fuss again showed well in the event by placing fifth. Pole vault appears to be in good hands going forward for Longhorns Nation.
Kimball High's girls and boys track and field teams travel to the Cheyenne County meet Friday following their performance at the SPVA conference meet that included a number of personal records and medals.
After Cheyenne County, it's on to District on May 11.
The State meet is May 19-20.
At the SPVA meet, Longhorns head coach Tiffany Johnson said, "The kids competed hard, and we had several personal records and walked away with a couple medals."
