Kimball Growth Plans: City Seeks Input

Residents and business owners in Kimball are encouraged to attend one of two upcoming Town Hall public meetings on the City of Kimball Comprehensive Plan update.

The meetings will be held on April 19 and 20.

Each event will offer a brief presentation and opportunities to mark up maps and comment on growth in the community.

The meetings will be held at the at Kimball County Transit Services Building:

• Wednesday April 19, 5:30 p.m

• Thursday April 20, 5:30 p.m

Both Town Hall meetings will offer the same process, so that members of the public can attend either evening at their convenience.

“This is an opportunity for you to tell the City how you want to keep Kimball moving forward,” said Melinda Pearson, FAIA, Community Development Director for the City of Kimball.

The comprehensive plan team will be on site to answer questions and also discuss the upcoming community survey and opportunities for online participation.

“The Comprehensive Plan covers all aspects of growth from land use to economic development, housing, parks and recreation, public safety, and more,” stated Keith Marvin, AICP, of Marvin Planning Consultants. “We want to hear from people living and working in Kimball about their vision for the future.”
