Here at the schoolhouse January 5th – Today! – it's back at school and on the road the junior high boys basketball team will be playing in South Platte at 1 p.m.

The following day here at home on Friday the high school boys basketball team will take on Kimball at 4 p.m. There will be a regular day of school on Friday also.

• The high school wrestling team will at Garden County, with matches beginning at 9 a.m.

• The Speech team will be in competition in Gering.

• And at 1 p.m., there will be high school boys basketball at Home verses Hyannis.

Good luck to all of you and safe travel.

On Monday, January 9th, the Oregon Trails Honor Band will participate in Alliance and there will be a school board meeting that evening at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday January 11th the Ignite Youth group will be back in action at the Harrisburg Community Church at 6 p.m.

May this New Year be a time for music, or as I have heard said, "It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness" – or choose Joy.

Happy New Year. Barb Cross at 436-7152.
