Ethel A. Yung

Ethel A. Yung, 95, formerly of Kimball, NE, and Newell, SD, died peacefully at Spearfish Monument Hospital on October 30, 2022, surrounded by her family. She had resided at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Belle Fourche most recently.

Ethel was born in Englewood, CO, on July 23, 1927, to Orval and Martha Armintrout. She married Earl Yung of Kimball, NE, where they raised their family of six children. She loved her flowers, painted ceramics, and always had home-cooked meals ready for anyone. Ethel especially loved music and singing; hymns were her favorite. Above all else, she loved her Heavenly Father.

Ethel is survived by her daughters, Norma Foos, Reva, SD, Wilma (Steve) Richardson, Midland, TX, Linda (Robert) Stumpf, Belle Fourche, SD, Eileen (Jerry) Pflaumer, Gillette, WY; and sons, Lyle (Shonna) Yung, Cheyenne, WY, and Lonnie (Jenny) Yung, Kimball, NE; she is also survived by many precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren; Ethel is also survived by a beloved sister, Grace Yung of Yuma, AZ; and a beloved brother, Robert Armintrout of Watsonville, CA; and several nephews and nieces.

Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, grandson, and son-in-law.    

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Kimball Cemetery at Kimball, NE.
