DIX LANDMARK COMES DOWN

Built in 1918 and demolished in 2022, the old store located at 123 Myrtle in Dix has been the talk of the town. Sitting squarely in the middle of the building is a large old safe. It wasn't known until the building began to be torn down that it shared a wall with the Dix Village Office. Z&S carefully removed the upper part of the shared wall. Bricks from the site were packaged and mailed to places, such as California, as mementos to people who rented apartment or had a business in the the building.
