Coyotes Boys 2nd, Girls 6th At District

Potter-Dix's Coyote Track and Field teams competed at the District D-9 Meet, and the boys team tied for second place with Garden County, behind first place Leyton.

The girls team finished in sixth place, behind top finishers Crawford, Leyton and South Platte.

The Potter-Dix boys had many outstanding performances, with junior Luke Kasten winning the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes and taking fourth in the Long Jump. Senior Thomas Muldoon won the 800 Meters, placed second in the 400 Meters, and senior Niko Koon won the Discus.

Kasten, Muldoon and Koon all qualified for the State Meet and will be traveling to Omaha.

For the Potter-Dix girls, junior Kallie Crossman won the Pole Vault, with a personal best performance clearing 7'6", followed by junior Lily Tabor in second place.

Tabor also placed second in the Shot Put. Junior Jayden Shoemaker won the High Jump with a personal best of 4' 10".

Crossman, Tabor and Shoemaker all qualified for the State Meet in Omaha.

At the State Meet, Luke Kasten will compete in the 100 Meters and 200 Meters, Thomas Muldoon will compete in the 400 Meters, 800 Meters and the High Jump, and Niko Koon will compete in the Discus. Kallie Crossman will compete in the Pole Vault, Lily Tabor will compete in the Pole

Vault and Shot Put, and Jayden Shoemaker will compete in the High Jump.

The State Meet is at Burke Stadium in Omaha, and will take place May 18-21.

Potter-Dix Golf

The Potter-Dix Coyote Boy's Golf team competed at the Kimball Invitational on Friday, and finished 10th in a crowded field on a challenging course.

The Potter-Dix team was led by Trevor Williams, who shot a 102, followed by Gunnar Oleson with a 126, Josh Kasten with a 132, and Kyla Ramsey with a 149.

Mitchell's team took top honors, scoring a 355 to lead the field of 13 teams. They were followed by runner-up Scottsbluff JV with a 374 and third place Perkins County with a 383.
