The opening date for Kimball Ace Hardware has not been finalized, according to the manager.
The building, former home of the Shopko Hometown and Pamida department stores at 1217 Highway 71, is stocked with inventory and being set up.
Plans for the store include hardware, liquor and gun sales.
The new owners are Jeffrey Zepp and his wife Kim, who also own Chadron Ace Hardware and Specialty Sports and Supply in Colorado Springs, Colo.
