Richard Marshall

Richard L. Marshall, 75, of Kimball, passed away on November 28, 2021. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4 at Cantrell Funeral Home with Pastor Stoney Vance officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Richard Lyle Marshall was born April 5, 1946, in the family home in Kimball, Nebraska, to Harold Edgar and Hazel Marie Marshall. He attended Kimball County schools and worked for the Kimball County food store for many years. He was a gas station attendant, did odd jobs around Kimball, and also worked as a roustabout. He retired several years ago.

Rick lived with and cared for his mother until the time of her death. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. At the time of his death, he was living with his sister Margaret in Kimball. Rick had a twinkle in his eye, a contagious laugh, and lived his life to the fullest. He was a joy to his family and will be missed.

Rick is survived by his brother Roy K. Marshall of Joplin, MO; sisters Beverly Jean Baker of Vernal, UT, and Margaret Faye Rutherford of Kimball; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lyle, Kenny, Leonard, Melvin and Jimmy; and sisters Violet and Alberta.
