Kimball's 2021-22 basketball season will tip off in a special way at the Dec. 4 home opener – with the dedication of the Tom and Karen Southard Court at about 5 p.m. between the girls and boys games with Minatare. What a tribute it is to the Southards, who as a team chronicled Longhorn sports in the Observer for decades.
