Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First
Banner County
Good morning! I sincerely hope this week is fire-free. The fire that was in Scottsbluff County last week caused more damage and more smokey air for us to breathe.
We are several miles away and yet Thursday evening from our deck we could see a huge orange glow that didn’t seem all that far away.
Our thanks to our local firefighters that is for sure, plus many others. They sure have been busy this summer.
This coming weekend will be a busy one, too. Here at home the annual Farmers Day celebration in Kimball will be held the 24-26.
This year is the 95th year and will be celebrated with book sales, a quilt show, bike races, cruise night, a fun run, parade, cornhole tournament, and a glow disc tournament, plus a demolition derby and an air show at the airport.
