Jowain Sherman, Tim Nolting and Jack Shaw of the Plains Historical Society start moving the Smithsonian Museum traveling exhibit "Crossroads: Changes in Rural America" into the Fraternal Hall Museum on Tuesday morning.

The Smithsonian Institute, in cooperation with Humanities Nebraska, is sponsoring the exhibit "Crossroads: Change in Rural America."  The Plains Historical Society of Kimball County was selected, from among many applicants, to be the first community in the Nebraska to host this exhibit.

An opening event is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Fraternal Hall, 200 S. Chestnut, the exhibit location. After comments prior to the opening, there will be a meet and greet of guests in attendance. Refreshments will be served and those wishing to be among the first to view the exhibit will be welcomed.
