Kimball County 4-H'er Giacomo Varra works on his entomology project along with Nathan Rice, UNL Extension educator. First Giacomo "invented" a new insect. He detailed how big it would be and how many would live in a colony – and he imagined that they lived in a rain forest. After he collected bugs and froze them, he studied the specimens to determine what family of insects they belonged in. Giacomo is in the process of pinning them in the collection box and will create identification labels for them.
