Good morning Banner County, friends near and far. Here is a little bit of news, a few notes, and a little nonsense.

Pretty slow around here. Tomorrow, Friday, November 20th, is the deadline for applications for the Conservation Stewardship program. You need to call your local NRCS offices for more information.

Also on the 20th, our junior high wrestlers will head to Morrill for competition which will begin at 9 a.m. Good luck and safe travel.

Regular school will be in session on that day.

Birthdays here at home this week include:James Cross, Margaret Hopkins, Jordan Knaub, Ayden Vrtatko, Marianne Holt,T J Marler, Gary Talkington, Sheyanne Elsen, Zac Carlson, DJ Griffiths, and Owen Talkington. Happy Happy Birthday!!

Anniversary congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. ‘ Josh Schmidt and Ken Boston.

There will be a virtual Iowa Organic Conference on Tuesday the 23rd. This is the 20th year, and first held virtually. To register for that go to http://www.regctes.extension.iastate.edu/iowaorganic/

The 37th annual Thanksgiving in the Valley will take place on Wednesday, November 26th, Thanksgiving Day. It will be held at the Guadalupe Center in Scottsbluff from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals can be delivered or picked up at the door. Please call 633-9497 for more information or to schedule a drop off, or to volunteer to help.

There will be NO School on November 25-27 in observance of Thanksgiving.

I am wishing you all a very nice Thanksgiving, fun, food, and family. And lots of thanks – always but especially right now when our world is still so crazy.

I will leave you with this quote: “ Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” – William Arthur Ward.

Happy Thanksgiving! Take care until next time.
