Not Time Yet To Comment On Banner County Elections

Good morning, beautiful this week. Quite an important week for all of us, elections!

This little letter will come to you before I know any election results, so I must refrain from any comments until later. Not everyone can be happy whatever those results may be. However, I hope that we all have voted and that we persevere.

We do have several cases of COVID in the school system, not necessarily in the county. It seems to be more local this time, here and surrounding counties.

Halloween came and went and we had the most beautiful full moon that we have seen in awhile.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and the folks at Harrisburg Community Church are hosting their annual Harvest Supper on Sunday evening at 6 p.m., November 8th, and everyone is invited and welcome to attend.

On Friday, November 6th, tomorrow, there will be a Health Fair at the Banner County School at 7:30 a.m. The regular school board meeting will take place at the school on Monday, November 9th at 7 p.m. and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Wednesday, November 11th the annual Veterans Breakfast will be held at the school at 8 a.m. in honor of all current and past veterans and service men and women.

This will be followed by a program in the gym, which begins at 9 a.m.

Birthdays here this week include: Alan Elsen, Larry Hopkins, Whitley Lind, Kady Drake, Samuel Talkington, Rick Caudillo, Denny DeNovellis, Trisrian Talkington, Tawnie Kling, Steve Lease, Kayls Misner, and Colbie Knaub. Happy Happy Birthday!

Anniversary congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Terry Brown, Stan McKnight, Jordan Knaub, Tom May and Lane Godfrey.

The Western Nebraska Arts Center has two interesting shows right now. The Annual North Platte Valley Artist Guild Member Show will have an Open House on the 5th of November, tonight, that will last through December 6th. On the same night, same time in the Bronson Gallery the Chair-ity Art Event will open and run through December 31st. Both are open to the public and free.

The Drive-In Concert in Alliance has been postponed until next Spring, which seems like a long, long ways off right now!

On this Saturday, November 7th the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is having a craft and vendor show at two different locations. They will be at the Prairie Winds Community Center and at the Rural Hall with over 60 vendors. Sales will start at 9 a.m.!

Also at the same time at the Bowling Alley there will be another craft show plus the Bowl Dog Lanes event, and Bridgeport businesses will be holding Open Houses. Sounds like a day to visit Bridgeport!

The winter market will be at the Monument Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for some produce and products too.

Well, have a great week and take care until next time.
