What!? 10 Fridays Till Christmas!
October 22, 2020
Good morning! Here we are in the last week of October! My how the time is flying, rather we are having fun or not.
Someone said “only 10 more Fridays until Christmas “and I thought, hold on wait a minute, did I miss Halloween and Thanksgiving? Time is moving fast enough, let’s not move it any faster!
There is very little going on here in the Burg this week. However, there will be state cross country competition on the 23rd, Friday, and on that same date HS JV volleyball at home verses Sioux County at 5 p.m. and football at 7 p.m. Friday will also be a regular school day! Good luck and safe travel to you all.
Birthdays this week include: Kambrie Leigh Loutzenhiser, Bralyn Thomas, Bralyn Kayhill, Robert Farro, Kippen Cochran, Jennifer Dillinger, Barbara Thompson, Denelle Klosterman, Lexie Jackson, Julie Rogers, Richard Johnson, and Eric Anderson. Happy Happy Birthday!
Anniversary congratulation to Mr. & Mrs.’ Zac Carlson, Jonathan Muggli and Art Olsen.
In surrounding areas, we have the Spooktacular out at the Riverside Discovery Center and on the 23rd the showing of “ Harry Potter Adventures in Diagon Alley” at the Knight Museum & Sandhills Center in Alliance. Show time is 7:09 p.m to 8:09 p.m. and this will continue through November 7th. If you need more information please call 308-762-2384.
I don’t know about you but I for one have never seen/read anything Harry Potter. Nor have my kids, my choice, not theirs. Anyway, to each their own, right?
Also the 23rd is the deadline to RSVP for the “State of the Valley” conference, which will be held at the Hampton Inn in Scottsbluff, 11:30 a.m. Call 632-2133 or email to [email protected] This will also be streamlined on Chambers Facebook page.
The vet tech students at Eastern Wyoming College will host a ‘Dog Wash’ on Saturday, October 24th. They will be available from 8 a.m. -1:30 p.m. For more information please call 307-254-2702 or 307-797-0964.
They have asked that if your fur baby is afraid of the dryer to bring them in early so that they may air dry. My little Norman is not afraid of the dryer, but he hates his face and feet cleaned up and he turns into a little devil brat. Just ask Gretchen.
The folks at Morril will host Farmers Market items on the 24th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on the 27th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. I do believe these are the final days for this opportunity.
On next Wednesday, October 28th WNCC will offer a Human Services virtual Open House. If you are interested in this program you will be able to learn more about what is offered and meet the faculty. You can RSVP online at wncc.edu/admissions/visit-campus by Tuesday, October 27th.
OK, that is it for now. Have a great week, take care, and stay safe.
