Katie Heeg watches her putt during recent play at the Kimball Invitational Tournament/Western Trails Conference Tournament where she had a top ten medal finish. In her first year with the sport of golf she has shown steady improvement and looks to have a bright future in the sport.
Kimball sophomore Payton Wise picked up yet another medal, to add to her collection of hardware,at the Mitchell Invitational Golf Tournament held this past Thursday.
Payton, like almost all of the golfers, didn't shoot close to her top scores of the season, thanks in large part to a miserable windy day.
She finished 6th in the top ten medal group with her round of 46-44=90, but not that bad of a round considering the windy conditions, accourding to coach Katie Culek.
