Community Concerts Return Sept. 29

Terry Barber, who has performed with Madonna and Jewel, visits Feb. 14 for a Community Concert Association show. This is his 2017 album, "Around the World in 80 Minutes."

The artists have been selected and the shows will go on – that is, the four Community Concert Association shows.

In 1975, Kimballites decided they needed entertainment and so the long standing tradition of community concerts began in the Kimball area.

The concert artists have gradually changed and evolved over the years to be interactive with the audience and more entertaining for the entire family. The artists today play contemporary and popular music and include sing-a-longs.

Publicity chairwoman Jean Barrett and family have been concert goers since the mid-1980s.
