Mary Jane Runnels

Mary Jane Runnels, 79, of Potter, loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Jaynee was cremated and her wishes were to be remembered for the memories she provided to her family and friends. Jaynee was born on April 6, 1939 in Hanover, KS.,the daughter of Glen and Bernice (Moyer) Smith.  On September 29, 1956, she married her loving husband Bernard Wayne Runnels.  She enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren: Dayna Hardwick, Melanie Manter and husband Seth, David Ebersole and wife Lisa of California, Bradlee Daviner and wife Crystal of Indiana, Andrew Duncan and wife Leslie, Jenifer Duncan of Nevada, Breanne Vogt of Colorado, Erik Doran of Tennessee, Joe Runnels, Angel Thomas, Eli Runnels of California. In addition she was always there to visit, enjoy and gift a homemade craft for each of her 10 great grandchildren.  Jaynee always kept her hands busy sewing, crafting, playing cards and giving to all those she was privileged to have in her life. She spent the warm months in Kansas, Colorado, and Nebraska and the cooler months in California, Arizona and Nevada visiting and enjoying her extended family. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband Bernard, her three children, Jackie Ebersole and husband Gary, Charles Runnels, and Brenda Batson and husband Terrell, her brother Steven Smith and wife Marlene, and sister Sherry Smith. Jaynee was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Bernice (Moyer) Smith, brothers Jack, Robert, Donald and sister Lois Dixon.
