LTTE: Honor Flight

The Honor Flight Board would like to thank all who make our flights for Veterans possible. We could not do any of this without all of you. We extend our appreciation to the Patriot Guard Riders of NE and CO, American Legion Riders of NE and CO, Tim Lordino and Law enforcement of NE and CO for the escort to Denver. GMC of Chadron, Paris Fisher Auto Sales, Wahlstrom Ford, and Eagle Chevrolet for the use of their vehicles. Big Bats for gas cards, the Fire Departments who hang their big flags as the escort proceeds. Rita Horse who helps plan the trips, American Legion Honor Guard, Hemingford American Legion Auxiliary Unit 9Juniors and Sons Youth for the pillowcases and the Elks club in Scottsbluff for lunch and a great program. The news media is always there with stories about our Vets and we appreciate all they do for us. We are grateful to everyone who comes out to honor our Vets during the send-off and for all those who stand along the way with flags. Eagle Chevrolet, Walmart, Pine Ridge Job Corps, Kimball schools K-3 and their teachers who sang and Prairie School north of Fort Morgan always display their patriotism as they stand beside the road. This year there was an amazing fly-over at Fort Morgan and we thank all those involved in making that happen.

The Veterans and their guardians are impressed and their hearts are warmed by all of you who say thank you to them for their service as they make their way to Denver. Some of them have never been thanked.

We anticipate sending a flight again in the coming year and hope that we can get more schools to bring their kids out and to have more people along the route each time we do this. We are always accepting donations and we could not do this without all of you who have already donated. This program cannot continue without your help. We thank you, the Veterans thank you.
