Tough competition brought out girls golf best

Kimball girls golf was at it again last Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Gering tournament.

Unlike some of the tournaments the girls have been to so far this year, Gering had a good tournament of bigger schools. This came with very good competition.

“Overall the girls did very well, we had two girls achieve their personal best. But the major highlight for us as a team is we had our personal best team score, which reflects all of the hard work and dedication the girls have put in this year,” said Coach Culek.

Lila Moore ended last Tuesday with a score of 106, Leisha Casimiro had a personal best of 145, Raven Johnson also had a personal best score of 125 and Kate Fraser shot a 137.

Kimball is ready for a tournament in Bridgeport today, then will head into Districts in the beginning of October.

“Im very proud of them and I look forward to ending the season strong,” Culek added.
