Observations all along the line - Kimball & the Southern Panhandle First

Randomly Tonia

Allow me to introduce...

After several weeks of searching, the Western Nebraska Observer staff is full once again.

Our previous advertising representative, Stefanie Bartels, took a position with the local post office.

We are thrilled for Stef, and though we miss her dearly, we are excited for the changes in our office.

Our own Aleta Pearson took the marketing specialist position, and she is doing great. Aleta has many years of design experience and it shows.

We encourage all of our readers and advertisers to contact Aleta for any advertising and marketing needs.

Since Aleta has her hands full with marketing and page design, we then had an open position for a journalist.

Our general assignment reporter covers everything including local celebrations, county and city meetings, emergencies and even the occasional sports team or event.

This is a big part of our business and the work demands flexible scheduling, quick learning and thinking, photography skills and a person who can get it all done on deadline.

Aleta left big shoes to fill, but we are thrilled to announce that our new general assignment reporter is...drum roll please... Dakota Kuhns.

Dakota comes to us with some high school journalism experience, but more importantly, she comes to us with enthusiasm and a desire to grow.

She jumped right in on her first day, a Tuesday, and has made up for her current lack of on-the-job training with a can-do spirit.

As you see Dakota around Kimball, make sure you say hello and if there is anything, or anyone, you would like to see in your local newspaper, make sure you let her know.

Welcome Dakota, we are so happy to introduce you to our readership and we look forward to everything you will bring to the WNO team!
