Local artist wins first

Alycia Vrbas entered "Spring Colors" in the Cheyenne Art Guild's 55th Annual Easter Art Show and won first place.

Alycia Vrbas, 12, encouraged by longtime photographer Kim Sharples, joined the Cheyenne Camera Club and entered a photograph, “Spring Colors,” in the Cheyenne Artists Guild (CAG) show recently.

The youngster received first place in the 55th Annual CAG Easter Art Show in Cheyenne, Wyo., which was not broken down into professional or amateur categories nor into age groups.

Young Alycia’s family also joined in on the fun, with family members Farris Vrbas, Lucas Vrbas and Dakota Vrbas also entered artwork in the show.
