Honor flight veterans make stop in Kimball

More than 20 veterans from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War were escorted by nearly as many guardians on their way through Nebraska for their Honor Flight.

Riders with the Nebraska Patriot Guard from Scottsbluff and Sidney met last Thursday at Shopko in Kimball, which allowed the riders from the Scottsbluff area to return home while those from Sidney escorted the veterans into Colorado. In Colorado, they were met by riders from the Colorado Patriot Guard, according to lead ride caption, Steven Thomlison of Gering.
