James E. Robinson

James E. Robinson, 79, a lifetime Kimball resident, died at Kimball Health Services on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014.

James Elroy Robinson was born in Kimball on June 7, 1935, the son of R.S. and Alice (Bickel) Robinson. He attended school in Kimball and graduated from the Kimball High School in 1953 and the American Academy of Horology in 1957. On Sept. 2, 1956, he was married to Karen Larsen and together they owned Larsen's Jewelry Store. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, James L. Eatmon Lodge #294 AF & AM, Alliance Scottish Rite and Truth Chapter #262 Order of the Eastern Star. Jim was past member of the Kimball Rotary Club, Kimball Airport Authority Board and served in the Wyoming Air National Guard for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife Karen Robinson of Kimball; son Greg (Nora) Robinson and daughter Carla (Dennis) Goranson all of Kimball; grandchildren Matthew and Stuart Goranson, Stephanie (Robinson) Kitchens, Katherine, Anthony and Michael Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Wes and Ed Robinson; and nephew Gary Robinson.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec.12, 2014, at the Cantrell Funeral Home in Kimball with Pastor Alan Foutz officiating. Burial followed in the Kimball Cemetery. Friends were able to call at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 1-6 p.m.
