City to make electrical repairs Thursday, Oct. 9

The City of Kimball’s Electric Department will finalize some repairs to the city’s electric distribution system. The repairs stem from last week’s accident that damaged a utility pole and caused a power outage around 1 a.m. last Tuesday.

While the repairs are completed, some businesses and homes may have their electricity disrupted. Repairs are expected to start around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9. The repairs should take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.

The city will attempt to limit any disruptions, but there is the potential that the necessary repairs may affect larger sections of the city.

“We apologize for any inconvenience or disruption to your service the repairs may cause,” a city representative stated in a press release.
