Pedestrian Hurt In Accident

The Kimball Police Department reported a traffic accident at approximately 11:52 a.m. Tuesday.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of 3rd Street and Chestnut for an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.

The injured pedestrian was transported to the Kimball hospital to receive medical aid, then according to individuals present the pedestrian was transported to Regional West in Scottsbluff for monitoring.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian. Their identities were not immediately available.

According to reports from people at the scene, the individual on foot was crossing Highway 30 headed north at the Vince’s Corner intersection. The pickup was coming from the south and turned east at the light.

The department said that a large red spot in the area can be seen. They advised that red spot is not blood, but a beverage that the pedestrian was carrying.
