Born on January 18th, 1950, in Sidney, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ruth Ann (Bouma) Edmunds. He married Phyllis (Roberts) Edmunds on August 10th, 1974 and lived in Kimball, Nebraska. They have two sons, Charles J (C.J.) and Nathan Levi.

Charles loved being out in the open and working outdoors. In his younger years, he found enjoyment in the rodeo circuit. As he got older, he worked alongside his father for 15 years in their water well business, "C.A. and Son Water Well Service". After his father's passing due to a battle with cancer, Charles moved his family from Kimball in 1990 and he started working for Ankony Shadow Isle as a cattle hand and well man. After the sale of the ranch, Charles worked at various farm and ranch stores. He always loved helping people and never knew a stranger. He took his love of the outdoors and people and worked for a short time at Oregon Trail Wagon Train, assisting people on the historic tours.

He enjoyed his family and took great pleasure in watching his boys start families of their own. He dearly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed telling them stories of his life in the rodeo and his water well days.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis (Roberts) Edmunds, son Charles (C.J.) & daughter-in-law Barbara Edmunds, son Nathan & daughter-in-law Crystal Edmunds all of Bayard, 3 granddaughters Taylor Edmunds of Auburn, WA, Stephanie Edmunds and Haley Edmunds both of Bayard, 3 grandsons Colt Edmunds, Wyatt Edmunds, and Waylon Edmunds all of Bayard, Nebraska, plus several extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence Almond Edmunds, Ruth Ann Edmunds, and numerous aunts and uncles.
