Suspect is still on the run

According to Nebraska State Patrol, a Trooper was in search of a stolen vehicle, shortly after 11 p.m. Monday night, when he spotted the said vehicle, east of Chappell in Deuel County.

The suspect was traveling in the stolen vehicle, at mile marker 48 near Brownson, the suspect wrecked the vehicle and left the scene on foot, law enforcement agencies were unable to apprehend the suspect. At that point the suspect stole a pickup truck and was said to be armed.

Frerichs of the Nebraska State Patrol stated in an interview, there is no more information on the suspect or his whereabouts as of now, “we are not sure who he is or where he is heading.”

According to Frerichs, the Wyoming and Colorado State Patrol have both been notified of the suspect and the information regarding the stolen vehicle, being that the suspect’s direction of travel has been west.
