Potter-Dix swept through its competition Saturday to win its home tournament. The Lady Coyotes went 3-0 in tournament play to improve to 9-2 overall on the season. Audrey Juelfs (9) goes on the attack during play in last week's home tournament. The Lady Coyotes went 4-1 overall last week, including 3-0 in the tournament, as they improved to 9-2 on the season.
Potter-Dix swept through the competition to win its own tournament last Saturday.
The Lady Coyotes (9-2) defeated Pine Bluffs, Crawford and Morrill on their way to a 3-0 day and tournament championship.
The homesteading team opened play with a 25-17 and 25-17 win over Pine Bluffs.
Dawson Sharman led the team offensively with six kills and two aces, while Anna McLaughlin added two kills in the win. Lanie Thies had a team-high 22 assists and Regyn Hicks led the Lady Coyotes with 13 digs as they advanced to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, Potter-Dix dispatched Crawford by scores of 25-20 and 25-16.
Sharman once again led the Lady Coyotes offensively, this time with a team-high nine kills and three aces. McLaughlin added five kills, while Alexus Rozelle and Audrey Juelfs added three each. Thies had a team-high 18 assists and Hicks led the way with 10 digs in the win.
Potter-Dix claimed the championship of its own tournament with a 25-8 and 25-17 victory against Morrill.
McLaughlin had a team-high 12 kills and also led the team with 21 assists in the win. Juelfs led the way with three blocks, while Rozelle had a team-high 14 digs.
