LONGHORNS BONDING

With their fall seasons coming up, the Longhorn football and volleyball teams bonded last week on outdoor retreats, volleyball at Chadron State Park and football at Medicine Bow National Forest near Medicine Bow Peak in Wyoming. "Memories were made, trails were hiked, and fish were caught," new volleyball coach Jenna Enevoldsen said. "The volleyball team had a fun few days getting closer as a team while exploring the outdoors. Football coach Darrell Howitt said that "fish were caught, mountains climbed, trees felled, survival skills tested and the juniors and seniors even cooked breakfast! The Longhorns spent a few days in the high country of Wyoming camping as a team. They checked in their phones and got in touch with their feral side; for some it was a short trip! We had a great time and hopefully made some good memories. We also tried to emphasize some football and life lessons along the way."
