A disappointing end to the 2023 volleyball season for the Kimball Longhorns on Monday in sub-district play at Paxton.
Kimball dropped the first set 4-25, but they played stronger in the second set to put up a fight against Paxton, 14-25, but then they lost the final set of the year 8-25.
Paxton, 18-10, had the top seed in the D1-12 subdistrict. Kimball was in the number 4 spot with a 3-25 record.
Paxton played Sutherland on Tuesday for the winner of the sub-district tournament bracket and the chance to advance.
